About Tillamook WORKS

Tongue Point

The Tillamook WORKS Program provides local students, ages 16 and up, with professional, paid internships in Tillamook County, with the goals of community building, economic development, promoting local career opportunities, and retaining local talent.

A partnership between Tillamook High School, Neah-Kah-Nie High School, Nestucca High School and Tillamook Bay Community College, Tillamook WORKS envisions every student with the opportunity to benefit from Work Based Learning and CTE Programs.

These are paid opportunities that include:

Project Based Work – a meaningful project that happens  in addition to regular entry level duties. This project should be beneficial to the host site while allowing the intern to develop key skills. The best projects will result in a product or outcome that will be resume-worthy and will help the intern develop the skills that they need to have to be great employees.

Professional Development – the WORKS interns will be participating in a series of Professional Development opportunities to help them build transferable skills they can use in the future. From the Chamber’s Networking, to workshops on applying for jobs, professional communication and more, interns will learn the ins and outs of navigating professional settings.
